This website platform focuses on promoting and showcasing genuine, limited edition Japanese art and crafted items to individuals outside of Japan. It aims to connect a global audience with unique Japanese creations.
Our added value resides in exclusive and privileged relationships with local artisans and antique specialists, allowing you to source unique items from overseas.
The items available on this platform are mostly metal-based, but will also include wooden and ceramic items.
Based on our specialties, local network, and experience, we decided to offer 3 different categories of services:
- Japanese exclusive cutlery items, mostly from Sakai (Osaka)
- Japanese Art & Antiques
- Japanese rare items sourcing Service & Consultancy

It all started with a growing number of Japan enthusiasts from overseas, contacting us while seeking assistance in sourcing & owning some of those unique pieces, produced in the present and the past.
In December 2025, we are launching Japanexquisite, making the service available to the public.
Following this philosophy, please understand that Japanexquisite will not be the place for, and can not be compared with, reproductions massively produced outside Japan and available on generic platforms. Those items may appear luxurious, but they are mass-produced at a lower cost, with quality to match.
On my part, I take the responsibility for committing our team to the protection of those treasures from the present and the past, and will take all actions to guarantee the respect of any legal and ethical rule on this platform.
It is important to take into consideration that the items presented on this site are either unique items or produced in a very limited number. Those are usually hard-to-find items, even in Japan.
The items listed on Japanexquisite are intended for the purpose of:
- Collection
- Exhibition
- Functionality by qualified users
- Investment
- Usage by individuals who have the necessary skills and training to manipulate it without danger (for ex Japanese blades) …and preserve it.
The expected life of each item, if preserved in the appropriate conditions, can exceed our lifetime and could be transmitted to the next generation.
We are only focusing here on those original, mostly handmade and hard-to-find, limited items.
Additionally, we do not feel the need to drown our visitors in a multitude of complicated Japanese terminology. The Japanese descriptions are intentionally simplified here to allow the viewer not to spend hours & days understanding the description of each item.
We simply select for you what we believe is top-notch in this field.
As a result, most of the items presented on Japanexquisite are non-permanent and unique.
